On a hike in June 2023, I found a herd of Black Angus peacefully munching wild grasses under fragrant pine trees in the mountains above South Boulder. The cloudy day offered soft light filtered through the pine trees, making for beautiful surroundings for these magical creatures. They are quite used to hikers and passersby on this gorgeous trail.

The Boulder/Longmont area has a strong locavore movement with many organic farms, farm-to-restaurant connections, great farmer's markets and fun farm tours.
